In the year that Sergio Machado filmed “Quincas Berro D’Agua” and Cia das Letras re-released “A morte e a morte de Quincas Berro D’Agua”, by Jorge Amado, Emmanuelle decided to revere the work of this Baiano and Brazilian photography with photos that depict the romance. The images were produced by children from the Mão na Lata group, from the community of Maré, under the guidance of Tatiana Altberg, with handcrafted cameras made of recycled cans. These works were published in print by Nova Fronteira.
